What is NAT?

NAT (Network Address Translation) or network address translation is a mechanism that allows you to transfer one IP address to another. Only external WAN ports provide Internet access for internal network devices that use an IP address.

A firewall is a system that monitors and filters incoming and outgoing network traffic. It is necessary to ensure the security of the computer network from Internet users and external threats. A firewall acts as a wall that restricts Internet traffic inside or outside a private network. Firewall monitors Internet activity and allows or denies access to devices.

How is the gateway built?

To locate the Edge Gateway and configure the NAT and Firewall rules in the Control Panel, you need to do the following:

Select Data Center and the desired channel bandwidth
Select the isolated networks you want to connect to
Add NAT / Firewall rules to the created gateway and fill in all fields.
